Power Play was in our Champion Pen of Three Junior Yearlings at Denver in 1998. He was the lead bull in the pen. The manager of Molino Nuevo spotted Power Play early and fell in love with him. He said Power Play is just what commercial cattlemen in Argentina want. We struck a deal with them to sell the breeding possession and the Argentinan and Brazilian marketing rights to Molino Nuevo. Power Play has become one of the most famous and most used bulls in all of Argentina. His new owners say he cannot keep up with the demand for his semen, though he produces 300 straws per collection. Pat Simmons of Genetic Leaders handled this transaction. He is entered in the AHA's new carcass testing program. NS and WNH will continue to market semen on Power Play throughout North America and the rest of the world.
Power Play is long and deep with a lot of spring of rib. There is a lot of bull to him, and there is a lot of cow behind him. His dam was cow/calf champion at the California State Fair SOP Show and at the American Royal. Add to 9312 all the great females behind Heavy Hitter, 517 and Optimum, and you have a powerful maternal pedigree. Power Play was a class winner at the 1997 Ohio State Fair, beating a 74th National class winner in class.
